Our Story

Our program exists due to the generosity of the public, schools, churches, businesses and many individuals that donate toys, food, money and many items, as well as their time. Since 1980 we have been assisting the lower income public of St. Thomas-Elgin to register themselves and/or their family for a little support that is meant directly for the Christmas season. We provide a hamper of food which includes cereal, cookies, canned goods, apples, potatoes as well as their choice of either turkey or ham, in order to make a complete Christmas dinner.

Our program depends on our dedicated volunteers and the great support and assistance from our local community groups like St Thomas Police & Fire Departments, Lions, Kinsmen and Rotary clubs, and many others. Without this support, we could not operate a successful program. As always, our need seems to be greater than our donations. Please help Christmas Care continue to help our community!
